Life Goes On project website

Every so often you're asked to create a website that is just a little different from anything you've done before. The Life Goes On project is just that.

Life Goes On website

In the midst of many first World War commemorative events, local history group 'The Wednesday Group' decided to focus their research on this subject too. However, they chose not to look at the military side of the war but to consider how it affected people here in Nottingham. In the group's own words - "...the aspect which we felt was interesting was how ordinary everday people, like us, continued with their lives, what was it like, how were they affected, what kept their spirits up and helped them to cope".

This simple and effective website is responsive for desktop, laptop, tablet and smart phone screens. The home page shows a 'card' view of all of the separate items of research carried out, with a click through to full details. Some items have an article style, some have more photographs and others have a detailed timeline format, all presented in a style that makes it easy to read and digest this fascinating and comprehensive work.
